Did anyone attend the $28,000 dinner

down at the Dorothy Chandler Hall? It was a fund raiser for Barack Obama - $28,000 a plate. He had one of these events also in Manhattan on Park Avenue. Watch for SF, Seattle, Chicago, Miami, Washington DC and Boston. In LA, he raised over $4 million in one meal. 10 cities, 10 meals - 30 million easy.

Can a candidate raise money from the bourgeoisie and then assist the proletariat? See http://theory414.blogspot.com/ from Soc 414 to see how they are using their blog.

I think one can. Just think of it as a business. If I had a company I would not care who spent money there. As long as they have the money, but it's up to me to decide how I use it.

WEll of course that Obama will not serve the interest of the proletariat. You will be naive if you can possibly hope for Obama to serve the "people". Marx said that the executive (those who are in government offices) only serve the interest of the bourgeosie (emphasis added). (And on some rare occasion, there is an executive that tries to serve the proletariat but does not get to far.) There is no way Obama will be serving two classes of people at the same time. We now know that whomever gets to office (Democrat or Republican) will increase and protect the wealth of the Rich!!!!!!!!!:(
