Altruistic Egoic Fatalistic Anomic: what type of suicide is the Columbine type (who kill and know they will be killed) or the VA Tech type? - what type of suicide are they?
Next question: are those student type suicides the same type of the Texas Fort Hood guy who didn't actually end up getting himself killed, but sure was likely to. Is he the same or different from the students as a suicide type?

The columbine and VA tech type are considered egoistic suicide because those students were not socially integrated or bound to a social group therefore. While the Texas Fort Hood guy is an example of altruistic suicide because he was too socially integrated loosing sight of himself as an individual. Although he did not kill himself he still sacrificed himself for his religious beliefs(groups) interest.
